This captivating large antique French horseshoe pendant, converted from a brooch, is an exquisite symbol of luck and protection. Crafted in luxurious 18-carat gold, the pendant features a stunning array of rose-cut diamonds surrounding nine round, chubby opal cabochons that graduate in size, with the largest opal at the centre measuring approximately 4.5mm. The opals exhibit a mesmerising play of colour, reflecting vivid hues from every angle. She is seriously breathtaking—one of the most beautiful horseshoes we have ever found!

Dating back to the early 19th century, this piece bears two faint French hallmarks on the remnants of the original brooch pin at the back of the piece: the French eagle’s head and the chariot hallmark, which was used in Northern France between 1819 and 1838. The pendant is completed with a newly fitted, chunky 7mm handcrafted bail, also in 18-carat gold, ensuring a seamless transition from its original form to a timeless pendant.

Measuring 21.5mm long (excluding the pendant bail) and 20mm wide, this unique pendant is a wonderful way to carry a piece of history with you, embodying both elegance and meaning.
