This magical antique crescent pendant boasts 19 stunning opal cabochons graduating in size set onto 15-carat yellow gold.
Converted from a Victorian-era brooch dating to 1895, the back of the crescent has wonderful crisp, clear hallmarks showing the pendant was hallmarked at the prominent Chester assay office.
The opals replace pearls that had previously been decorating the crescent. They have an outstanding play of colour, dancing between shades of vibrant yellow, blue, red, pink, purple and green.
This stunning piece has a fixed modern 18ct gold bail that perfectly pairs with the yellow gold colour of the 15ct gold setting.
