Dating to the Georgian era, these antique drop earrings showcase an exquisite arrangement of rose cut diamonds totalling approximately 2 carats. Crafted in 18ct gold and silver, they bear French import marks for both metals and have been professionally verified for purity via XRF analysis.
A rare example of Georgian ingenuity, the earrings showcase a refined openwork design with floral influences, culminating in a teardrop-shaped diamond framed in silver. Ingeniously constructed, each earring can be worn in three different ways: as a full-length drop for maximum impact, shortened by unclipping the lower segment for a more understated look, or worn as simple diamond studs by detaching the full drop from the gold hoops—seamlessly transitioning from day to evening.
Each earring measures 65mm in length and 12mm at the widest point, offering graceful movement and striking presence. Weighing 7.29g apiece, they are fitted with gold ear wires for secure wear. In very good antique condition, with a discreet solder repair on one connecting link, they retain excellent structural integrity and original charm.
