This sssstunning snake charm, converted from an antique stick pin, is crafted in luxurious 18-carat yellow gold with the snake exquisitely coiled around a fabulous bright old cut diamond.

 

Snakes in antique jewellery continue to be very popular making them extremely sought after. 

 

Originally introduced into Victorian jewellery when Prince Albert designed Queen Victoria's engagement ring depicting a snake, during a period when symbolism influenced jewellery design tremendously, snakes quickly became a favoured symbol of everlasting love.

 

Circa 1900, this beautiful conversion charm has no hallmarks but has been professionally tested as 18ct gold.
